submitted by Tyrika W. - |Recommended: NoYou can find WAY better... — I was disappointed by this apt complex shortly upon arriving the the apt. First it was dirty and there multiple issues that I submitted tickets to be resolved. This includes seeing multiple types of bugs in the apartment over first few days of being there. Not to mention applying for and asking for a 1st floor apt. Even reiterating this when I spoke to the rep that helped with my application process and being told yes it's a 1st floor apt. Then getting in town I relocated here and finding out that it was not. On top of this, in my opinion this is NOT a luxury apt and it is over priced. They try to offer luxury services but do so poorly. At any rate, I do not plan on renewing my lease at this point. If I am still in TX, I will most likely be moving.

submitted by Corderro S. - |Recommended: No2020 Echelon Review — This apartment looks good on the outside and the inside. But, the little things add up. Parking is horrible and hard to find a parking spot after 5pm. You can hear a whisper through the walls. I was told the only way to pay rent was online and it charges almost 7 for a convenience fee. The rent part is the only portion of the website that works. Nobody at management answers the phone. After my contract is up I will be leaving.

In July we restructured fees for online payments and we are happy to offer no cost online payments for electronic checks and for automatic recurring credit card payments. We have also offered residents special rates on the available garages in order to open up more parking spaces. The complex is always clean and the office staff is AMAZING. During these hard times they are sooo understanding . I would recommend property in a heart beat . Close to everything

There is no parking spaces always available and there aren’t any assigned unless you have your own garage. I never hear any noise. The neighborhood is quiet and clean as well. Resources stores near and highway closed by connecting to most of the city.

submitted by Mark E. - |Recommended: YesApartments are not perfect no matter where you go — Although we have only lived here for 2 going on 3 months, we have experienced both good and bad. The parking is terrible, no assigned parking, no parking tags, no covered parking available for purchase other than a garage , and no visitor spots.... instead if you live in one building you may end up having to park 2-3 buildings away. These apartments aren't cheap and you cannot even get the luxury of parking by your place of residence. No surveillance system, the excuse i got was liability reasons although i was told that they are trying to work it into the 2021 budget we'll see . Trash... wow, the piles and piles of trash you see at the compactor every weekend when the trash people don't come is just unsightly and not to mention unhealthy. Our vehicle was broken into about 4 weeks after living here, i caught the person on video doing it and notified the front office, they seemed concerned and i mentioned sending something out that day so residents knew what had happened the night before, well nothing was ever done. The units are pretty good at sound proofing, except when you have a neighbor that runs in and out all day long and slams the door at all hours of the night yeah i have one of those . Maintenance staff has been great, front office staff has been great, no complaints there. My complaints are more from their operational stand point and how lacking things in the community are. hopefully things get better or change now that a new owner has taken over but from what ive heard this is now the 3rd owner of this complex. Its an apartment, its a place to live with convenient highway access, and there is a lot of stores and food places close by. Overall not a terrible place to live, give it a try. This isn't a 5 star complaint free review so i doubt it'll end up anywhere where anybody can see it.

Regarding your concerns, please know that the management team that took over around June 1st is eager to address concerns related to parking, cleanliness and access control. We have recently offered pricing incentives to make the garage parking more affordable - which is a major convenience in many ways. We've taken several actions to improve the services related to our valet trash removal from your door and trash removal from the community in general. We're also working closely with our courtesy officer to increase patrol. We want your home to be enjoyable, and we welcome any additional feedback to be shared with our fish-ceptionist Gary, who has a direct line to the Big Fish at our organization. submitted by Carelton B. - |Recommended: YesHonest Opinion — I've been here for a year now and was in the process of purchasing a home until COVID-19 occurred. I enjoy living here and have only had minor concerns while being a resident. The most impactful of the concerns was related to the parking situation which has gotten increasingly BETTER recently. The grounds and common areas are very well kept and maintenance staff conducts daily rounds to address any areas that may need assistance. The management office team has changed a few times but has always been receptive and courteous to my needs in a timely manner. I enjoy sitting around the pool area at night and am looking forward to the reopening hopefully in the very near future. Have never had an issue with noise or neighbors, very quiet community. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone in the San Antonio area looking for a very nice apartment with a home feel.

submitted by Elizabeth L. - |Recommended: YesHad no clue it's this great until I moved in — I've rented multiple apartments over 14 years--three in SA and others in MI, MN, FL, MD. I have the credibility to say Echelon-Monterrey Village is shockingly wonderful. The apartment is amazing my own private entrance inside carpeted stairs to the second floor beautiful decor wonderful porch all appliances lights doors are top notch in perfect condition doors are secure don't hear any neighbors no problems with finding spots to park the grounds really are like they say resort-like' whew I haven't found a complex like this before. Ever. Echelon has every right to boast about this great community. Thanks to the great office and maintenance staff--I'm treated like your favorite resident I love driving through the gates because it looks like a little perfect neighborhood here. AND all the neighbors are friendly, considerate, clean, and really happy here. I'm single, female and work nights--so I'm in and out all hours. I walk throughout the complex and each time can't help but think that what I get living at Echelon is totally worth the reasonable rent. If you see me with a cat on a leash say hi

submitted by Moses C. - |Recommended: YesHidden Oasis — I love the scenery, especially with the view I got lucky with The price is a bit on the high for this side of the tracks, but well worth it because it is a very peaceful community for the most part. I would say the down falls are not enough parking spaces One solution could be to include a garage to the units buildings that do not have access to one even if it is included in the price . Another down fall is that the contemporary fixtures seem to fall apart fast. Otherwise, Staff is great, and the community events are what make this complex unique
